Next on the food safari…a stop at Jim’s Family Restaurant.
After losing their restaurant in a fire last year, Jim’s was out of commission for months. They decided to rebuild right where they were before, and after several more months, they were open for business. After driving by several times and promising to try it out, on a whim one night, my wife and I stopped in to try them out.
Jim’s was an excellent treat. This is the first place I’ve been to in a long time that didn’t sacrifice quality in service to the almighty dollar. You pay 8 to 10 bucks for your meal and you get a delicious soup, a fresh, delicious salad, AND a delicious entrée! That’s right! All three things for a wonderful price! (And did I mention they were delicious?)
I ordered the salmon and my wife ordered the Cajun pasta. They were both wonderfully presented and every bit as good, (if not better) than many meals I’ve paid double for and still left the restaurant hungry. The wait staff was amazing: they were quick, efficient, and very friendly. They even have sincerely friendly conversations with you that don’t involve the weather and what you ordered.
I can’t say enough good things about Jim’s, you’d really be missing out by not trying them at least once.
